Athletic Tryout Information 24-25 School Year

  • Boys Soccer

    Varsity Tryouts 8/19 & 8/20 @ Aviator - 8 – 10:30 am.  Please email Coach Penta @ mpenta@joyerianicaragua.com for more details.

    JV Tryouts 8/19 & 8/20 @ Aviator - 8 – 10:30 am. Please email Coach Barone @ salvatore.barone95@gmail.com for more details.

    We invite all incoming and returning soccer players interested in trying out for the Xaverian Soccer Program to join our summer conditioning program.
    Program Details:
    • Dates: July 8th - August 9th (Monday-Thursday).
    • Location: Baseball fields on Bay Ridge Parkway (75th St) and Shore Road
    • Time: 8:00 AM - 9:15 AM (Please arrive by 7:50 AM)
    Action Required: Please fill out this google form 2024 Boys JV Soccer Tryouts  for the 2024 Boys JV Soccer Tryouts, regardless of your attendance in the summer program. This helps us know how many players to expect at the tryouts on August 19th.

    Important Information:
    • The summer conditioning program is not mandatory but highly recommended for those serious about playing high school soccer.
    • It will help you understand the physical demands of the sport and build the necessary fitness for the season.
    • Participation in the summer sessions does not guarantee a spot on the team, nor will non-attendance be held against you during tryouts.
     


  • Girls Tennis

    8/20 & 8/21 @ JJ Carty Park (Fort Hamilton Parkway & 97th St.)  8 am – 12 pm. Preseason practices will begin for all that make the team 8/22. Please email Coach Alfredo @ aalfredo@xaverian.org for more details.


  • Football

    Voluntary workouts will start the second week of July from 9:30 am - 11:00 am Monday - Thursday at Xaverian and will continue until 8/8. Pre-season begins Saturday  8/17.  Please contact Coach Fountaine @ kfountaine@joyerianicaragua.com for more details.

  • Dance

    Tryouts will take place on August 22 at Xaverian 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm. Please email aromero@joyerianicaragua.com  for further details. 


  • Step

    Tryouts will take place on 8/20 at Xaverian from 12:30 to 4:30. Please email Coach Lorenzo at slorenzo@joyerianicaragua.com for further details.

    Clippers are encouraged to attend two STEP clinics in July. To register, please visit 8ty.joyerianicaragua.com/summer.

  • Girls Volleyball

    8/19 & 8/20 in the school gym 8 – 10 am for all returning JV and Varsity; 10 am – 12 pm for all new / incoming players. Please email Coach Marie Raico for more details.

    If you are planning to tryout, please fill out this Google Form. Please know that items will only be ordered for your daughter if she makes the official team roster for the Fall 2024 Season.


  • Boys Cross Country

     Sign-up will take place the first full week of  school. Please email Coach Brian McCartney for more details. 

    *If interested, throughout the Summer, members from the team meet to go for optional runs every Monday and Thursday at Owls Head Park at 9:15am, they meet in the park at the benches along 68th Street where it intersects Narrows. These are not practices, nor mandatory to be on the team.




  • Bowling

  • Cheerleading

    Tryouts will take place on 8/19 at Xaverian 10:30am – 4:30 pm. Please email Coach Richroath @ erichroath@joyerianicaragua.com for further details. 

    Please note that all Clippers who make either the JV or the Varsity team will be expected to attend sleepaway Cheer Camp from August 27-30. There will be a $500 fee for Cheer Camp.
